Game 1 R H
Kimberly 5 6 0 0 0 x x (11) (11)
De Pere 0 0 0 0 0 x x (0) ( 4)
De Pere had a very rough first two innings. Too many errors to keep us in the game. Kimberly hit the ball very well and capitalized on
our many errors.
Alex Jorgensen took the loss in one plus inning. Paul Growt led De Pere with two hits.
Game 2 R H
Kenosha 0 0 5 0 0 0 1 (6) (6)
De Pere 4 0 2 0 0 0 1 (7) (11)
Logan Devroy threw a complete game scattering six hits and walking five.
Kenosha tied it up in the top of the 7th setting up the heroics for the bottom.
Bennett Berg lead off the 7th with a walk and was forced out at second on the fielders choice from Vincent Drage, Mason Thomas
walked and Ryan Koltz followed with a single to load the bases for Paul Growt. After jumping out of the way of an errant pitch that
would have scored the winning run on a hits batsman, Paul lined a clean single to plate the winning run.
Paul Growt again led De Pere with three hits. Cooper VandeWalle had two hits.
A very nice win to give us second place in our pool and allow us to play on Sunday.
Lots of rain later and the tournament was canceled. We ended 1 - 1.
